if they had made it F2, then yeah, 24 is great on crop R2.
but my 15-85 at f4 and 23mm is only a stop away with very good sharpness and 4 stop IS
so, I keep thinking about the 35 f2 IS, but it needs to come down into the $700's, before I sell my $289 35 f2

I think I might have to check out the new EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM. I really love 24mm on crop, esp for kids and events. And I'll have to see if f2.8 is fast enough for me though, otherwise I may have to spring for the L lens at some point.
Any special lenses on your list?
