Been thinking about a new lens lately?

That range fits nicely for landscapes and wildlife, which is my primary focus (pun intended)

With the addition this fall of the 70-200 f/4 L IS I pretty much haven't used the 55-250. I'll still carry it on occasion because of its size and light weight so it's not actually shelved yet. It's a good lens the perfect fit on far end of the 17-55.

The 15mm gap on the short end hasn't been missed by using the 70-200 and I sure like the results that glass puts out. To make up for the 50mm on the long end, it's easy to 'crop zoom' with still quite good quality. If more reach is needed for critters/birds the 100-400 fits the bill for now. It better. My wallet is bone thin till I save up again.

I'd not thought of tubes with the TS. That's a good idea for greater versitility. I've been trying to slowly add good glass based on how much it would get used (justification). So far this has worked out well. Maybe a TS by next fall. But it's been on your short list for long time so I'm sure you'll get yours sooner.
