How to work quickly in manual mode?

I think there is no shortcut. I do mostly M mode now.

I have to practice a lot until the point i know which setting i should go with and quickly dial in.

I don't shoot randomly, but think and know exactly what i want to shoot. Then , depend on lighting condition and setting Av/Tv, Iso, i set to them to the setting i want ahead of time. Therefore,i only change a little if i need to.

Otherwise, use Av or TV and let camera decides other settings.
