Yup, and they also use pro bodies that can shoot at ISO high enough to offset it a bit.   Lastly, keep in mind that VR will not stop subject movement.  Now given this lens is mostly used on people shots you need to be at least 1/60 and more like 1/125 to stop simple non-action movement.  Given that, the benefit of VR is minimal and likely not worth cost or weight
