Best lens at 17mm 5.6 :9-18 at 17mm or 17 F1.8

Hello all,

Would like to find very good lens at 17mm F 5.6. I want Oly lens (not Panny)  and  I wonder if the new 17mmF1.8  at 5.6 is better than the 9-18mm zoom at 17mmF5.6

The lens review that I have read are classifying the Zoom 9-18 as good and the lens review on the 17mmF1.8 did not place this lens as a top performer.

At 17mm F5.6 which is better... I do not know from the available reports.

If someone has these two lenses [  17mm and 9-18mm] could you compare similar shots made both at 17mm focal lenght and F5.6  -which is the diaphram I want to use for  DOF reasons-
