I also recommend the sigma 75-200 f2.8-3.5 its f2.8 until 135mm and quit fast to focus... it has a long minimum focus distance (1.3meters).
Its sharp even at 200mm and f3.5 (although with less contrast but at f4.5 it gains the contrast again) and at 75mm its really good adn even better at f4.
Its a little heavy but lighter and smaller than tamron 70-200 2.8 which is the smaller of the 70-200... I don´t have the beercan but this lens looks to be in another league at least in aps-c (it works in sony a57)
It has some vignetting but purple fringing and CA are low even at the long end.
