New to micro 4/3rds.... lenses..?

I have been using Nikon SLR's since the 1980s and I know about photography and equipment so I don't need any technical advice but I would like some lens recommendations. I think I have decided on an Olympus OMD as a light weight alternative to my Nikon D700 with a long-term view to a permanent switch. I'm fed up with the weight and bulk of DSLR's and I think micro 4/3rds is a much better option for saving weight and bulk without giving up quality (compared to DX cameras and lenses). I appreciate ther will be differnces I can't avoid, e.g. shallow DOF.
Anyway. I will get the kit lens with the OMD. Is it any good or should I be looking at primes in the same range straight off?
How good are the pansonic pancake lenses? I'm tempted to use the 20mm as my standard lens.
How good is the Olympus 60mm macro? Are there other alternatives?
Is there a lens that is particularly liked for portrait (head & shoulder)? Is the Olympus 60 macro a good choice specifically for portrait?
Are there any gems I should get just because they are so good??
Any advice would be much appreciated, particularly if you are a serious photogrpher that has used full frame SLR.
