I find the internal time lapse function one of my favourite functions on the D800E.
The images are very clear and detailed and unmistakeably a D800E. Wow.
Its made me reconsider 70-200 F2.8 over the F4 version.
I have used 14-24mm extensively for time lapse. Also 24-70.

Yes it is the internal time lapse function. The image was much better than with stills. Besides 33'150 raw photos would have killed my disk space.
The zooms are made with Final Cut Pro X.
