But I think I have good reason to believe you are misreading the diagram you referenced.

To me, the 91K-pixel RGB sensor will only influence the "Auto-area AF" and "3D-tracking" sections of the D4's Phase-detection AF.

I have explained before how I think the diagram should be read. Can you please elaborete why you think it should be read differently.
