Just as a reminder to anyone trying this with 21-pt or larger dynamics area that many of the outer surrounding AF points are only sensitive to detail in one direction. The far left AF points are not sensitive to horizontal running detail (i.e. vertical lines) Use horizontal lines for the far left and right AF points.

If one uses the wrong orientation the AF points won't register against such a target and one will come to the conclusion that dynamic area AF did not (edit) use those sensors.
