Very interesting. I use the 35L on a 5DII and I find the combination produces very contrasty, almost 'gritty' shots. Ideal for PJ work but not for portraits or other work. I usually prefer the more subtle less contrasty tones of my 17-40L with the 5DII, especially for environmental portraits or landscapes, though it is less sharp especially in the corners. Interesting to read your experience with the Sigma. Any problems with front or back focussing?
