A quick follow up to this thread...

I did exchange my LX7 for a another one.  First, kudos to B&H Photo for a fast, easy exchange process.  That outfit is always great to deal with.

This new LX7 is performing noticably better than the first one.  While I have not done a formal "brick wall test" at every focal length and aperture, my few test shots similar to the ones in my first post do not exhibit an obvious centering problem.  And I'm not finding softness on the left side in my real-world shots, which the first camera was. This sample is what I was expecting from this camera.

So, I'm a happy camper now.  Looking forward to shooting with this little pocket-rocket.
