New here! Can you retouch senior pics in DPP or is photoshop needed??

Hi everyone. Totally new to photography and trying to learn all I can. Still have a L O N G way to go. Looking into the post processing also. I have my sons senior picture dvd that have the photos that weren't retouched. Just curious how hard it is to do that and if it can be done on DPP or if you need photoshop. I have no idea if it is super hard or not. Remember....totally amateur here. Just curious and probably getting way ahead of myself.
