IQ and DR wise D7000 how much more?

First, I'm a Nikon owner, and moved from Canon to Nikon, so I'm not against Nikon. However, since you have a 7D, I'd suggest that you work with the camera for a while before you get rid of it.  While I agree that the D7000 has a better sensor than the 7D, the differences are not large, and in almost all shooting situations the 7D should be more than capable of producing great images.  It is a very capable camera.  So, before you consider trading cameras. I'd encourage you to spend some time getting to know yours.
