Actually, if my understanding of the physics of it is correct, that is impossible. The latest generation of camera sensors are very close to the limit in terms of quantum efficiency, so not much more further to go in terms of high-iso signal-to-noise ratio (though they should still be able to do much on high-iso dynamic range). This means that, no matter how much better APS-C sensors get, they'll never bridge the gap to current full-35mm-format sensors.
