Nex-6 & 10-18mm Does UK Snowy Misty Morning
Jan 13, 2013

Hi All,

I had my first real opportunity this morning to get out with the 10-18mm that I acquired last week. We had a light covering of snow in the UK (well, the Midlands at least) last night so I thought it would be a god time to get grips with it.

I must say I am very impressed. It is very sharp when stopped down (as you mostly would for landscape shots) & the OSS is a godsend. I would have struggled to get a few of these without a tripod (which I didn't take with me) but the OSS came to my rescue. It is also extremely light for a wide angle & feels nicely balanced on the camera.

I used to use CV15mm for these type of images but I would have had to bump the ISO up to get some of these & obviously it is a prime so requires more zooming in & out with the feet!!!

With the 10-18mm at 15mm & both at landscape apertures (f8ish), I actually think it is as sharp at the CV15mm if not a touch sharper.

Hope you enjoy them!
