I wouldn't say the low-light autofocus on my X-E1 is lousy. Have you actually used one?
I have the X-E1 and at daytime autofocus is ok, but it hunts and it is hard to lock focus in low light. Actually the OMD-5 I had was better at low light and of'course my Nikon dslr system are better.
I agree with John, low light focus is not very good on the X-E1 and I'm looking forward to an improved model.
