If I buy a camera this year with a 5 fps burst speed and next year's model has 10 fps, then I won't care a bit. If, however, I buy a camera this year with lousy low-light autofocus and next year's model is dramatically better, then I will regret that I didn't wait for next year's model.

I wouldn't say the low-light autofocus on my X-E1 is lousy. Have you actually used one?
