Sigma 18-250 is ok, especially when stopped down to f/8 I have very little to complain about. I have owned Canon 18-200 and Tamron 18-270 pzd, of which Canon is heaviest and Tamron optically worst, so I will keep Sigma.

When I want to travel really light, I carry Canon G15 only. The focal range is fine, and I'm also pleased with its IQ. Fast lens with usable ISO range up to ISO 1600  is a very good combination, even for night shots
