Everybody knows that you are not going to get good subject isolation with a 25mm lens on any format.
They would shoot 50mm or above, just like someone on FF would do:

you make these blanket statements with such certainty. I would advise that you just speak for yourself,.
In my own opinion, interesting portraits can be made using lenses with a normal or slightly wider than normal field of view, using a shorter distance from the subject. Plenty of isolation with this technique.
