The first time I took my print head apart to clean an older epson 4000, I got the same error when I put it back together. It turns out I did not have a ribbon cable seated correctly. Re installed it and it worked. I have not taken my 7600 apart yet but you may want to check how you reinstalled your head to see if you failed to connect something correctly.
