Aside of great optics and unmatched build quality the AIS glass does not allow any short cuts, forcing us to do honest and thorough photography, selecting ourselves the aperture, the shutter speed as well as the focal point. In other words, despite a downshift in speed, we are rewarded with a substantial upshift in creativity, a trade-off I would choose any day.

AI/AIS lenses that I own are: 15mm f/5.6, 28mm f/2.8, 35mm f/2.8, 55mm f/3.5, 105mm f/2.5 and the latest arrival from last month: 200mm f/4.
