Caution ! Dynamic AF versus single point AF... !

So after your post I decided to test it and you are absolutely correct. I focused on a low texture wall (primary focus point on the wall) with some high contrast cabinets underneath the adjacent AF point (d21 point mode). The camera quickly snapped to focus. But when I looked at the image on the LCD afterwards the indicated AF point was not my chosen AF point, but one of the adjacent "assisting" sensor.
