7D

Thanks for info. I use a 5Diii & 7D, I use the 7D for wild life & distance. My 400f/5.6 is the best I have used so far & I wondered how the Sigma would work with a 7D & converter. I guess I better start saving. Bab

I have a 400 f5.6 as well. It's sharper than the Sigma but it's sharper than practically anything.

The Sigma has better bokeh and of course a zoom range but is WAY WAY heavier.

I have used 70-200 f/2.8 & 2x converter for 400 when I wanted zoom & is. It is not as sharp as 400 prime & heavier, but doable. How much heavier would the 120- 300 be?

Lens with tripod foot about 7.5 lb. Heavy enough.

A good word never broke a tooth.

I've been under the weather lately.  When I am better I will get out the weights & build a little muscle along with saving my money.  Bab
