If this camera didn't have such a good sensor no one would buy it.

Focus consistency is very poor under low incandescent light and also has issues with red or orange subjects.

Matrix metering is also unreliable.

The D3s is a much, much better camera unless you are cropping heavily or printing at A2 size or larger.

Nikon's claims that the D800 has greatly improved low light AF than the previous generation cameras are fraudulent IMHO.
