Yashica 50mm f/1.7 ML halo / flare + Nex F3

I recently bought a Yashica 50mm f/1.7 ML new version for 37 euro.

Under moderate circumstances it perfromes fine.

Under extreme circumstances like the photo shown I see a halo like effect on f/1.7 and f/2 and flare only from f/2.8 and up.

Taking the same scene with my Sigma 30mm f/2.8 there is no flare at all.

Are there any legacy lenses out there where these side effects are not visible?

The c/y Zeiss planar f/1.7 perhaps? I heard the Yashica I got is optically close to the planar but with differeent coating.
