See the top menu for Articles.  It's about half way down in the Most Popular Articles list.  I live in a hotter part of the world and we never see them.  (It was 45.3 degrees Celsius the other day.)  They're on my bucket list.

I haven't re-read it for a while, but as I recall, f2.8 should be OK.  I too have a G1X, but I think the longest shutter speed is 30 secs.  (I've never actually looked for a B setting!)
