No offence meant, but this picture has it's background blurred so completely that it could as well be a unicolored paper back. It is good to able to do that, granted. But it is not what beautiful bokeh is about.
Here's the same shot stopped down a bit. I understand what you're saying, but think I prefer the original.
I would be interested if you could post an example taken with the 75/1.8 that you are happy with.
