Eagles and the 500mm

I took my 500 f/4 mounted on a D4 to Haines, Alaska while hosting some workshops and attending the Bald Eagle Festival.  I'm still loving the sharpness of the 500, and with the snappy D4 auto focus, it's a great combination.  In addition, the D4 + 1.4TC + 500mm is so much better than my previous D300 with the TC combo.

Here are a couple of pics from the Bald Eagle migration in November (I'm behind in my work-ups).  About 3,000 eagles show up for this late salmon run providing great opportunities.
