I respect your opinion -- I bought the camera primarily for its potential for available light photography under mediocre lighting conditions and I haven't been disappointed.  I intend to use NR software when the noise becomes too noticeable in high ISO situations.

There will undoubtedly be new sensors in the future, but I was concerned the LX7 might be the end-of-the-line for this enthusiast-type camera.  I agree it is very well-designed.
