At least on paper, such a lens would be great. For me such a lens would be a good reason to delay the buying of an Oly.
Yet, I'm curious if such a bright lens is possible without some hidden costs. For instace, in Lumix LX cameras, the wide angle lens is producing a distortion that is tacitly corrected (even in Raw).

The XZ-1 and presumably the XZ-2 already uses software correction as indicated in this review
Yes, but the LX7 has much higher amount of corrections. The change to brighter lens in LX7 may have negatively affected resolution and corner sharpness too much, when compared to LX5.
Fair enough then. Let's just hope it will be a winner, it will be a very long wait...
