What we know of the lens is based on its use with a Bayer Sensor so it will be interesting to see how it works in the new model.

Basically the lens is quite soft at F2 (better at 2.8) and requires  F4 or F5.6 for normal resolution with F8 in macro mode.

If you read the X100 mini website the designers explain that this was their intention.

It's also worth reading the DPReview X100 lens test carefully to examine how the focus distance can affect resolution.

All these things are relative of course and many users find f2 quite sharp enough...but not me!
