D700 prices seem very high

I was just talking to a buddy of mine last weekend about the same thing. He's got a D700 and a D800. He commented how his 3 year D700 will soon be worth more than his 6 month old D800.

We were thinking the D800 appears to take alot of D700 shooters out of their comfort zone. He has a good D800 with no AF problems. He shoots alot of action stuff, sports etc. and finds the D800 requires real good technique versus the D700 where we both do some "spraying and praying". The D700 with it's 12 MP is more forgiving than his D800 in that respect.
