By shooting wide angle i'm thinking that you have become accustomed to the look of it, but studio work is not real-estate. I don't think lenses that wide are going to be of any benefit. One of the biggest problems with wide angle is the distortion, straight lines tend to bulge, and it can be a real problem, even when your camera is held perfectly level. In a studio, it's more important to be able to correct for distortion. That is why tilt shift and view camera's are the rule of the land, while in the studio.

I think that the difference between the two methods are so far apart, that any crossover is too far apart.
