Thats unfortunate you haven't found one to suit your taste. My current one is fairly tight and doesn't extend or retract when pointed up or down. I'm pretty particular and it took 4 tries over 8 months before I finally landed my current one. In no way am I forgiving FF for a second, just stating that good ones do exist. The real question is how bad does a person really want one to go through all the hassle. The X-S1 fills 90% of my needs, so it was worth the extra effort for me. But I still could dig a 1" X-trans with a 24-400 lens.

I wasn't trying to insinuate uncertainty by using "seem". Yes, you have mentioned your numerous travels in the past, which is why I mentioned the idea in the first place. I just didn't want to state something that may no longer be true so I threw in "seem". You have clarifed so its all cool.
