NEX6 Timelapse battery life

I was able to get 2400 exposures of my son & me building a lego fireplane at about a 2 second interval. When I was done, there was 75% of the battery remaining.

Seriously. Have no idea how it used so little juice.

It was on a 7 using an infrared trigger, but I don't see why you could not get similar results from a 6.
