Great shots.

Have you shot with the or D3S before? Wondering if you can compare how you feel about the D800E slower fps and ISO noise vs. the older D3S.

Timing is more important than frame rate in shooting action, I can live with slower FPS all the time, and since I'm a native raw shooter, noise isn't a real issue for me either. However I never like shooting with the D800E, things like "freezes up" in review, small hand grip, slow respond shutter release etc really annoy me. The only reason I keep my D800E is the extra resolution and that's it.

Gotcha, thanks. Agree with timing and certainly keeping your eye closely on the ball with slower fps. But like you have pointed out, the D3S/D4 sound like they handle better for action. Nice D4 pics you have also.
