Youm flexible OLED displays: a winning product?

At CES, Samsung is exhibiting a phone with a flexible display. The phone can be bent or dropped without breaking. This could be a real winner, sales-wise, for the company. Unlike 4k displays or (yawn) a mere camera, the innovation answers a consumer need. Sooner or later people drop or ruin their phones. They will pay extra to get one immune to this hazard.
Products with any chance to seel have to offer connectivity or innovative service apps. The outlook appears flat or downward for traditional gadgets or appliances. It has proven difficult to make large OLED displays, or convince people they need a $15k 4k screen (the way they needed 3d?), so most of the marketable advances will be in the hand-held realm.
Apparently, the most attention grabbing thing about the Nikon CES exhibit is a troupe of dancers employed. Alas, it's hard to excite the market about products that perform only a small fragment of what consumers obtain from a phone.
