eagerly looking forward to your review Carl. I have the Minolta 'new' 75-300, and am very happy in it for what i use it for, but am interested in something with a bit more at the near end, less purple fringing, and hopefully a slightly quicker AF. I also like the idea of the built in correction. I picked up the a57+18-135 based in no small part on your review of those, and have been very happy with that combo.
