Funny, I don't recall ever seeing a post from someone asking 'how do I repair my snapped off articulating screen'. I'm sure it can happen - anything can - but I don't think it's a reason to not have one. 99.9% of the time it's safely nested on the back of the camera.

Driving with predators in the back of a car or cab (aka taxi) can cause accidents and even fatalities a small percentage of the time. For such small percentages, hardly anyone does the math and concludes "it's too dangerous". They just plow forward, carry on, and all that.
Hmm. I can take their photo from the front seat with my articulating screen. Well I could if I drove a cab.
