Best success with?

Easy, the camera I have with me.

Seriously, there is no "one camera to rule them all". It's all a balancing act and give and take.

Until you gain more experience you won't really know what features or pros/cons you want/don't want.

I say, buy a camera and a couple lenses that you can afford. Learn to shoot in manual mode. Once you gain more understanding of photography you'll know what you want.

I've been taking photos for a about 5 years now. I started with a Sony A300 (sales guy talked me into it) later I got an A700 then an A900. Now that I have more "knowledge" I've switched to Nikon, have a D7000 and D800. Like I said, there is no "one camera to rule them all".

Now, if you can't decide between 2 or 3 cameras, come back and ask opinions on those. People on this site have no problem sharing opinions...
