Just bought the Sony NEX-6

And the best way to learn about fstops and shutter speed is to put your camera on full Auto and keep an eye on the readout to see what the camera chooses, in particular if the shots turn out how you wanted. And of course, check the EXIF data on ANY photos you see and like, from any photographer.

I've just got a 5N (open box so a good deal, else I would have got a 6, but I needed a flip forward screen, so don't mind missing the MODE dial and flash).
