Auto focus lag - Startup slow - A99

I have more experience with the a77 but it used to take about 3 seconds to start up - which is agonizingly long when you want to take a pic.

The rear LCD would come on almost instantly.  The delay was the EVF getting online.  Holding down the shutter, it would be LCD, about 2 seconds of nothing, EVF on, Focus and *click*.  Which totaled about 3 seconds.  It takes about the same coming up from sleep because of the same thing - the LCD then the EVF power on.  I assume the 2 seconds of nothing between the LCD turning on and the EVF coming online is probably the rest of the camera booting up.
