GH3 Battery Grip - worth it?

Hey guys,

Just a quick question for those with the GH3 battery grip.  I'm thinking of picking one up for $250 and am wondering if it's worth it from a stand point of increased grip alone.  I don't do a lot of portrait shots, nor do I really need double battery life (I have 2 batteries, but just keep a spare in the bag).

The GH3 is quite comfortable on its own, but if a grip makes it even better, I'm interested.  I have fairly large hands and my pinky finger is half on the normal grip.  Does the grip really improve the feel of the camera in hand?

If I were to get it, I might just run one batter in the grip and leave the body empty.  This would save weight and avoid the need to remove the grip to change the battery.

Also, is the grip plastic or is it make of magnesium allow to match the GH3?
