Chill out there Bill. I personally dont think the x-trans sesnor is less vivid. I find the reds to be particularly nice.

"Chill"? Really? Did I say that the X-Trans sensor is terrible, crippled, has no worth? Get serious. It's a very good sensor and I look forward to seeing it used in the X20. But name something that isn't compromised in some way when it tries to improve something in another area. The CFAs used by Canon tend to be more efficient than the CFAs used by Nikon which have sharper cutoffs. So Nikon's RGBs are purer than Canons, but Canon's don't filter out as much light, so that slightly improves low light performance. Fuji's X-Trans sensor produces gains in resolution and less moire than you'd expect from a sensor without an AA filter, but at a cost. If you don't want to recognize this that's fine with me, but liking the "particularly nice" reds from X-Trans cameras says nothing about their vividness or lack thereof, that's just a red herring. Fuji knows how to produce pleasing colors, whatever the sensor technology. I'd rather know the good and the bad than to see only the good and close my eyes and ears to the rest.

Its may have less r and b pixels....i dunno oh well.

So? Don't worry. Chill. But don't complain if you ever notice colors bleeding and smearing.

Yep...chill......

I knew about the raw issue when i purchased the camera. C1 is a very good converter. smearing isnt so much a problem. i have noticed much color bleeding.

....eh i still do find the red particularly nice. Compared to canon, nikon, panasonic...ect...

olympus has nice reds as well though. Not quite up to fuji. good reds = good skin tones= me happy.
