I only use manual lenses. Body meter is still not as good as manual metering but admittedly at times you don't want to mentally and manually adjust so rapidly when you have to shoot rapidly. No filters. Hood is always good. You have to "bind" with the lenses. Different copies of the same models behave differently - optically (due to dirt and coating variations) and due to things like wear and tear, and age of the lubricant. Especially for lower end bodies, MF is much more accurate than AF. It takes very young eyes for those tiny optical view finders though, or middle price camera bodies.
