Panasonic 12-35mm

Yes, I know the OIS can be turned off on the Panasonic. But having an alternative without OIS would likely be cheaper and lighter, the latter of which is a reason why I'm adopting m4/3 in the first place.

And OMD is likely in my future, but I'm in no rush as my bread and butter, paid client work is done with my FF Canon gear. But if I were to buy the OMD right now, I would very likely purchase the Pany 12-35 to go along with it. But since I'm in no rush, I'll wait it out another month or so. Until then, my GH2 will be my day to day throw around camera.

One argument in favor of the Pany with built-in OIS is that if Panasonic were to release an OMD killer and I were to get it, I'd already be well equipped. Back in 2004, after getting my Canon 20D, I decided to invest in EF-S lenses as I (foolishly) believed that APS was the future (partly because Nikon's flagship D2X was APS at the time). I guess this is kind of the same... maybe it would actually be a good thing to get an OIS lens now, even though I don't even need it. Just thinking out loud...

Thanks for all the replies and lively discussion.
