No D400 announcement on CES :-(

The D800 is way too unforgiving to ever be a great camera for sports. And that problem does not go away in DX mode either. If focus is not perfect (lens fine tuned and AF 100% locked) the shutter speed is too slow (1 / 2f is at least needed) you just end up with a soft blurry looking image.

D800 is a fantastic camera for studio, landscape whatever, but is not a camera for sports and action. D600 seems more forgiving, but the AF is not the same.

Nikon needs to replace the D700 and the D300 as fast cameras, but I believe only one will be replaced. Feel free to guess which this could be.
