Olympus OM-D with Panasonic 12-35mm software update issue?

I have been using the Olympus OM-D with the Panasonic 12-35 mm Lumix G (f2.8) and Panasonic 35-100mm (f2.8) lenses for the last 2 months. ll has been going well except that the focus sped has seemed slow.

2 days ago I updated the Olympus firmware to version 1.5  - primarily as the focussing speed was slow with my Pana lenses and this was meant to help address this issue.

Unfortunately the Panasonic 12-35mm f2.8mm lense now doens't work.

My other Panasonic (and my Olympus lenses) are working fine, so I am thinking it is a lense software issue to do with the update (and Olympus has suggested this).

Panasonic are looking into it, however has anyone else had this problem with this lense/update and did you find a solution?
