Somebody please explain! Why X-E1 JPEGS are darker?

Thank you. It was the simple thing that needed to be said. I have found this thread somewhat surreal, beginning with its accusatory title and continuing with a public stoning of Fuji's ISO standards, which all seems bizarre considering that the X-E1 produced the CLEARLY superior image.
